The Pleasure Garden at Kensington + Chelsea Art Week
As part of the KCAW Public Art Trail, and the inaugural Kensington + Chelsea Festival , set in the former site of the Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre, our in-house creative team Baker & Borowski where commissioned to create this Graphic Rewilding wonderland especially for the Summer 2021.
The area was completely transformed into a welcoming, eye catching meanwhile space encouraging visitors to enjoy the previously closed site.
Made up of a huge 35-metres mural, inspired by local wild flowers, alongside sculptural structures and a floor design reminiscent of ‘Summer of Love’ colours and echoing the Pleasure Gardens popular in the area during 18th Century. The focus of this installation, was on 21 century and our modern considerations of nature in the urban environment.
Featured in Time Out Magazine it captured the imaginations of both young and old becoming an instagram favourite.
